The XIII European Slag Conference will be held at Kulturens Hus, located in the heart of Luleå.
Kulturens Hus is a popular meeting place full of life and inspiration. Luleå’s cultural hub, a creative engine, and a natural venue for networking and meetings of both personal and professional character. The building houses concert halls, excellent conference facilities, the city library, an art gallery, a ticket office, a tourist center, a restaurant, and a café.
Kulturens Hus is one of the most visited places in Norrbotten. With the great location by Luleå’s northern harbor, you can enjoy a fantastic view and beautiful bright summer nights.
Kulturens Hus covers 14,000 square meters and was designed by Tirsén & Aili Architects, with Hans Tirsén as the lead architect. The first groundbreaking took place in April 2005, and the building opened on January 3, 2007, much to the delight of Luleå’s residents. Luleå Municipality is the principal owner of this beautiful building, and the Department of Culture and Leisure is responsible for its content.
